Marita Davies and her fiancé Craig Ogilvie from the UK have announced their plans for a joint dog sports hall. Under the name Ogilvie Dogs Training Centre, a place will be created in Leicester in the near future where training can take place all year round and in all weather conditions in different disciplines. The 20x54m hall will provide space for Agility, Obedience, Hoopers, Flyball, Dog shows, Heelwork to music, Rally and Mondioring. The name for the common hall derives from the surname of Craig Ogilvie, who will both wear after the wedding.
The hall is being built on a 5 hectare field, which already have a huge outdoor area. This will continue to exist after the construction of the hall. The hall itself is equipped with the usual Juta astro-turf artificial turf, which was also used for example at different World Championships in the past. Underneath there is a 15mm layer of absorbent mats. All devices used for Agility will be from Galican. As the two explain in a long and detailed YouTube video, they bought the site as early as 2018 and finally moved in 2019. Just Corona delayed planning for the hall by at least a year. However, they are confident that everything is now in the running.
