Maruša Podjed, Monika Rylska and the two Austrians Laura Reinhalter and Conni Raschbauer win Hungarian Open 2023

The Hungarian Open, the biggest Agility tournament in Hungary, has found four new winners. Twice the victory goes to Austria to Conni Raschbauer and Laura Reinhalter. A title in the Medium+ category goes to Monika Rylska from Poland. Maruša Podjed wins the Large tournament. Also or special noteworthy are the performances of Aneta Obrusniková, who once again runs with two dogs on the podium in an international tournament. Monika Rylska did the same with the victory in Medium+, as well as the second place in the Large category.

With Conni Raschbauer and Laura Reinhalter two Austrians win in the neighboring country Hungary. The former wins the Small competition with Sheltie LeGo by a narrow margin of 0.23 seconds ahead of local Dalma Naggyőr and Welle. The team was already on the podium last year. Back then with a third place. Third-placed Monika Blaško with Ruby was also within striking distance and within one second. Exactly 0.88 seconds off first place. Five teams out of a total of 24 finalists completed the course without any faults.

Somewhat clearer was the gap in the Medium tournament of Laura Reinhalter and Ria to the second and third placed Aneta Obrusniková. Ollie and Aneta were 1.91 seconds behind. With her second dog Arrya she was 2.64 seconds behind the best time. Place 2 and 3 are nevertheless an impressive performance. Laura Reinhalter’s time was the absolute top mark, even including the runs with one fault or more.

The so-called Medium+ category, which has been part of the Hungarian Agility sport for a long time, was won today by Monika Rylska with Koza Nostra. With one mistake Italian Manuela Satta runs with Pif on the second place. Third place goes to Gábor Fóti with Magua from Hungary, also with one fault on her score sheet.

Monika Rylska was allowed to climb the podium again a few minutes later. In the Large category she runs with Foker on second place. Within the first three places it was very close. Only 0.69 seconds separated place 1 from place 3. With such close gaps already a small detour decides about the medals. Today Maruša Podjed succeeded with Pan the best run. She secured the victory with a time of 40.72 seconds. 41.02 is the time of Monika Rylska from Poland. Third place goes to Tamas Traj and Riu with 41.41. He is the only male representative on the podium across all classes in todays final.
