Dogs of AWC judge Karel Havlicek and family die after house fire disaster – Support requested

A terrible and unimaginable tragedy took place in the Czech Republic last Monday 20. March. A fire broke out in the house of this year’s World Championship judge Karel Havlíček. This destroyed the house including all belongings of the family of four. Even worse than the loss of belongings is the fact that the family’s 6 dogs also died in the fire. Namely Manitka, Edanek, Zulinka, Devinka, Bráška and Boominka. The dogs died as a result of smoke inhalation. This was announced by daughter Adéla Havlíčková in a heartbreaking post on Facebook.

The Havlíček family is a large and important part of the Czech Agility scene. On the one hand as a judge by Karel Havlíček, who has the great honor of judging the Agility World Championships in the Czech Republic this year. His wife is represented in the scene as a competitor, breeder and organizer of events and other things. Daughter Adéla Havlíčková is also known to many as a young, committed Agility athlete. The brother himself is not active in Agility sports. But all four have in common the love for their deceased dogs. Friends of the family responded shortly thereafter and launched a fundraiser. We have included the details for the donation account above. According to the family, most of the money should be used for reconstruction and to get them back to normal life. We wish the family a lot of strength in this difficult and painful time.
