Throwback Agility World Championship 2015 – Part 2

In 2015, the best teams in the world driven off to Bologna, Italy for the Agility World Championship. The Venue was the rather grim-looking Unipol arena. Nevertheless, the World Cup was very well organized and although the audience was relatively far away from the action, there was a great atmosphere. For the first time in the history, there was a double victory by the same handler. Pavol Vakonic from Slowakia held his nerves and brought two faultless runs with IKEA and Fiona trough to the last jump. A novelty in Agility. Less fortunate was the tragic figure of the World Championship. Tereza Kralova, already in advance dubbed as the big favorite of the tournament, failed after a dropout on the second-last jump. There are seconds who decide success or failure in this sport. Tereza Kralova should wait another two years for the title. In the shadow of Pavol Vakonic, Jouni Orenius immigrant Swede took third place with Neela. Also for him one of the greatest successes to date.

Silvia Trkman and Le proved once more in Italy, that they are far from being old iron. And Silvia Trkman consolidates her role as Running Contacts Queen. Even after years, it is just nice to watch the two. Behind Silvia on the second place is the Belgian Andy De Groote with Border Collie Dedee. Although there are a few border collies that start in the medium category. But the big fear from that time, that soon only Border Collies will start in the medium category has not materialized until today.

Medium Individual:
gold Silvia Trkman with Le
silver Andy de Groote with Deedee
bronze Daniel Schröder with Nick

For a very special goosebump moment provided Vlad Ciprian Stefanut with Liebe. To win as an Italian in their own country, and still quite unexpectedly. Only the dog name is everything else than Italian. Nevertheless, the Italian ran into the hearts of the audience. He did not really expect the victory by himself. Equally surprising was the third place by Samir Abu Laila with Lali from Brazil. If not even more surprising. Roland Kolenko with Ammy completes the podium made entirely of terriers. That is rare too.
