Agility Photo wins again Dog Photography Award

In 2022, the best dog photographs were again honored as part of the Dog Photography Awards. Photos were awarded in the categories Portrait and Landscape, Action and Studio. In addition, with the new category Dogs & People, people found their way into the photos for the first time too. Of course accompanied by the four-legged friends. Because these are the focus of this award. This also applies to the winning picture in the Action category. Italian photographer Francesco Junior Mura captured the perfect moment with Border Collie Bagheera from handler Enrico Collini. The work is titled as “She is Bagheera”.

The photo was taken right at the first hurdle. According to the photographer, it is the moment when everything begins: “There, where it all begins, where the bond between Human and Dog is expressed in such a clear way by such a magnetic look, where you can see the power of dog’s muscles contracting and releasing energy at every handler’s node”. The picture of Francesco Junior Mura was the only Agility picture that made it into the final. Last year, Chiara Hofmeyer from Germany won the Action category also already with an Agility picture.

All other winners and pictures that have been awarded can be found on the official website of the Dog Photography Awards.
