Moravia Open 2018: Top Fight in the East of the Czech Republic

The Moravia Open has been a big part of the agility calendar for years. This is not only due to the top teams, which dueling each other in the east of the Czech Republic in the stadium of FC Valašský. One of them is for example Tereza Kralova with Say. The two were once again unconquerable this weekend. They started as the last team in the final run on Saturday evening. After 30 seconds felt deathly silence, the two mastered the course of the Austrian judge Bernd Hüppe sovereign. The crowd was just shocked for some seconds, after a terrific fall from Say after the dogwalk. Despite the fall, the two ran a lead of almost a second on against Anne Lenz and Itzi Bitzi. Third is the Italian Stefano Gatti with Queen.

In the medium tournament, judged by this year’s World Cup official Nicolas Renaud, won with Eva Maděrová also a local hero. Sheltie Flame completed the course with a time of 37.90 seconds. While the stopwatch stopped for Svetlana Kreslina and Real in the second place only at 38.84 seconds. Third is Kaisa Tsäro with Lizzi. The Estonian was with a time of 39.00 close to the silver medal.

There was a strange scene in the final run of the Small Dogs. A final full of tension. On the one hand was the top fight between Sandi Okanovic and Pavol Vakonic with the two Shelties of Summergarden. This time with the better end for the Slovenian Sandi and Miya. 0.48 seconds were missing Pavol Vakonic and Meryl to the first place. The two had practically reserved the second place all the weekend long. The second curiosity came shortly before Denisa Lajmarová and Relda finished their run. She was exactly the same time with the previous third placed Marta Miil and Jay. Although it was clear that both are officially considered third, but it was unclear what happened to the cup, the remaining prizes and the prize money. In the end, the organizers were generous and gave both each 200 euros.
