Austria National Championship 2018: «Staatsmeisterschaft» became a mud fight

A lot has been planned for this year’s national championship in Austria. A great location, international judges and the best Austrian teams. Sandra Deidda from Italy, Jan Egil Eide from Norway, Nalle Jansson from Sweden and from Slovenia Blaz Oven. Actually perfect conditions for an agility tournament. Only Petrus didn’t mean it good with the organizers. Heavy rain during the first day on Saturday turned the ring into a mud meadow. Several teams decided not to start to protect the dogs and themself from injurys. For example the big favourite Lisa Frick.

Austrian champion in large is Sissy Graf with Yeremy. In front of Lena Nikou and Alice. Third is Lara Heinzel with Pino. Sissy Graf was beside Lena Nikou, the only one who was aible to finish two runs without mistakes.  In the medium tournament it was only Anna Jantschgi which performed both races without any faults. It also helped nothing that the member of the national team Tamara Sedlmaier with You was almost ten seconds faster than Anna Jantschgi. A bit tighter was the small tournament at the top. Where the two first placed were left without mistakes.
